Udaipur: The Shri Jain Shwetamber Mahasabha organized a grand procession and Snatrapuja festival to mark the conclusion of the Paryushana Mahaparva. The event featured the majestic procession of the deity and the Snatrapuja ceremony at Gangaur Ghat.
Kuldeep Nahar, the Chief Secretary of the Mahasabha, explained that a magnificent procession of the deity was carried out from Hathipol Dharmashala to Gangaur Ghat. The procession moved through prominent locations such as Maldas Street, Bada Bazar, Ghantaghar, and Jagdish Chowk. Leading the procession was Gajaraj (elephant), followed by five horses carrying Jain flags. Behind them, two bands played melodious tunes. Further behind, two beautifully decorated buggies carried Jain youth with flags of victory. Two camel carts were also part of the procession, showcasing various Jain symbols.
As the procession made its way, devotees lined the streets and welcomed it with vibrant decorations. Thousands of Jain followers joined the procession, raising chants and cheers in honor of the deity. Upon reaching Gangaur Ghat, revered Jain saints, including Rashtra Sant Lalit Prabh Sagar, Muni Bhagwant Niragaratna, Sadhvi Vairagyapurna Shreeji, Sadhvi Tatvaratnashreeji, and Sadhvi Kalpadarshitashreeji, graced the occasion with their divine presence. Subsequently, a Snatrapuja ceremony was conducted.
After the Snatrapuja, the deity was carried in a procession through various routes to reach the Aradhana Bhavan on Maldas Street. There, a grand Swamivatsalya (community meal) was organized for over 3,000 society members. The event was presided over by Tejasingh Bolya, the President of the Mahasabha, and attended by key dignitaries and thousands of Jain devotees.
This celebration brought together the Jain community in a display of devotion and cultural significance, resonating with the echoes of victory and spirituality.
