Udaipur: Acharya Vishnu once said, "The goal should be great, and so should the effort; the heart should be soft, and the speech should be sweet." Echoing this sentiment, Swant Ranjan, the All-India Chief Propagator of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), mentioned that RSS is constantly striving to enlighten, guide, and lead society towards excellence. He emphasized that the RSS's ideology and commitment to the nation will become even more effective in the coming years, making the entire society stronger and more united.
He was addressing the concluding ceremony of the 44th National Convention of the National Medicos Organization (NMO) at the Gattani Hall of RNT Medical College on Sunday. As the chief speaker, he reflected on the RSS's journey, which began in 1925, and noted that Dr. Hedgewar founded RSS based on the ideology that India is an ancient and Hindu nation, and that we are all children of Mother India.
The main objective of RSS is to raise awareness and engage society in its activities. The RSS ideology is not limited to just the organization; it is a "thought of the soil" deeply rooted in the nation's spirit. He added that after Gandhi's assassination, the RSS was unnecessarily blamed, even though it has always been dedicated to the nation's welfare.
RSS believes that a family must be educated and cultured in order for society to be cultured. Our family is not just a unit but the foundation of the entire society. He also highlighted that environmental conservation has become an important societal responsibility today. Reducing plastic usage and protecting the environment should be our duty.
Ranjan emphasized that our culture, religion, and traditions lead us toward self-realization. For a strong nation, citizens must be aware of their duties. Breaking laws should not be a trend; adhering to the law should become our self-respect.
**Governor Gulabchand Kataria on Medical Service**
Governor of Punjab, Gulabchand Kataria, said, "To live for others is truly living." He praised the efforts of NMO workers for embodying this spirit. He emphasized that medical service is not a business but a noble act. He stated that doctors, especially those performing surgeries, are among the most respected individuals, second only to God.
Kataria acknowledged that when NMO's work began under RSS, it sparked a new energy in social service. With the help of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, NMO started service activities in tribal and remote areas. Efforts to prevent disease in these distant regions are a meaningful initiative. He commended RNT Medical College for being a source of inspiration for medical colleges across the country.
He urged doctors to treat patients not just as a profession but with the spirit of human service. He recalled the invaluable service rendered by NMO members during the pandemic. He also spoke about the importance of treating patients with compassion and warmth, as it can alleviate half the disease.
Governor Kataria also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's revolutionary reforms in the medical field, such as establishing medical colleges in every district.
