*Udaipur:* The State Government has appointed the Chief Advocate of Udaipur, Dr. Praveen Khandelwal, as the Senior Additional Advocate General (AAG). The order in this regard was issued by the Chief Secretary of Legal Affairs, Gyan Prakash Gupta. Dr. Khandelwal will assume office in the Jodhpur High Court on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Khandelwal expressed his gratitude during a courtesy call to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Attorney General Rajendra Prasad. Sharma assured swift appointments to other senior positions. Notably, this is the first time an advocate from the Udaipur Session Court has been entrusted with this responsibility.
Dr. Khandelwal, during the meeting with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, State President CP Joshi, and District President Ravindra Shrimalli, thanked them for their support. He stated that he would fulfill this responsibility with dedication and honesty.

Advocate Dr. Praveen Khandelwal is the President of the Udaipur Bar Association. He held various positions in the All India Students' Council during his student life and also served as the Student Union President at Shramjeevi College. Dr. Khandelwal has always played a leading role in addressing the issues of advocates, court matters, and public issues. He has been at the forefront of public issues related to hospitals, municipalities, buses, and railways, always raising his voice with clarity. He has been actively involved in serving the poor, providing legal assistance, and standing up for the rights of weaker sections of society.
Dr. Khandelwal has effectively fulfilled responsibilities assigned to him by the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During the Ram Mandir movement and subsequent temple construction programs, he actively participated and even spent 15 days in Unnao Jail during the Ram Mandir Car Service. He has played a crucial role in party and social movements. In the conservation of lakes in Udaipur, he not only took leadership from the front but also played a prominent role in the legal battles, from the road to the court.
It is without a doubt that Dr. Praveen Khandelwal, while serving as the Additional Advocate General in the Jodhpur High Court, will further advance his work for the welfare of the people with strength and determination.
