Udaipur's Triumph in District Olympics"

Udaipur, The six-day district-level Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympic Games competition concluded with great pride for the city. The event, held at the Gandhi Ground in accordance with the Chief Minister's budget announcement, witnessed the felicitation of winning teams and athletes, who will represent Udaipur at the upcoming state-level competitions.

Under the guidance of District Collector Arvind Poswal and Chief Nodal Officer of the District Council, Saloni Khemka, the grand closing ceremony took place at Bhandardara Maidan on Wednesday morning. The event was graced by the presence of O.P. Bunkar, Additional Commissioner of Excise, and Prabha Gautam, Additional Commissioner of Tribal Development Department. Members of the Tribal Advisory Committee, including Lakshminarayan Pandya, social worker Ajaysingh Pahal Navalsingh Chundawat, Councilor Girish Bharti, Harshvardhan Singh Kelavat, Riyaz Hussain, Devkishan Ramanuj, Hidayatullah, Ravindrapal Kappu, Vinod Jain, Madan Babarwal, and Jagdish Ahari, were also present as guests.

The opening of the ceremony was marked by a warm welcome from the Chief District Education Officer, Asha Mandawat, District Sports Officer Ajit Jain, and the Vice-President of the Sports Council, Rohit Paliwal. Nodal Officer Shakil Hussain presented the event report. During the ceremony, guests praised the spirit of sports and sportsmanship displayed by athletes from all age groups and commended their performance.

Winning teams and athletes in various competitions at the district level were honored during the event. Additionally, those who contributed directly and indirectly to the organization of the competition were also acknowledged.

In the women's category, Cluster 66 secured first place in basketball, and Cluster 85 was the runner-up. In kabaddi, Girwa finished first, and Mavli came second. In kho-kho, Mavli claimed the first position, with Nayagaon as the second. In volleyball, Girwa was the champion, and Bhindar took second place. Tennis ball cricket saw Girwa as the winner, with Kherwada as the runner-up. In football, Mavli secured the top spot, while Girwa came second. In the 100-meter race, Raju Mali finished first, followed by Kusum Rajput in second place. In the 200-meter race, Unnati Paliwal secured the first position, and Sonu Nanoma was second. In the 400-meter race, Ravina Dhariya came first, and Kajal Joshi was second.

In the men's category, Bagarwa claimed the first position in volleyball, and Girwa took second place. In shooting ball, Mavli finished first, and Kurabad was the runner-up. In basketball, Cluster 74 secured the first position, and Cluster 85 was second. In tennis ball cricket, Cluster 81 claimed the first place, with Rishabhdevi (632) from Cluster taking second place. In kabaddi, Mavli came first, and Girwa was second. In football, Cluster 67 finished first, and Cluster 74 secured second place. In the 100-meter race, Raunak Tripathi was the champion, followed by Manish Menaria in second place. In the 200-meter race, Raunak Tripathi secured first place, and Balveer Meena was second. In the 400-meter race, Khushveer Singh came first, and Omprakash was second.

Udaipur has truly excelled in both sports and sportsmanship, and it is an honor to see these athletes represent the city at the state-level competitions.
