Jaipur, In an atmosphere filled with respect, nationalism, and festive warmth, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at the Jaipur Military Station. Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister, Ms. Diya Kumari, along with a group of distinguished ladies, tied sacred rakhis to the soldiers of the Sapta Shakti Command, honouring the enduring bond between sisters and their protectors in uniform.
In a gesture steeped in tradition and patriotism, Ms. Kumari tied rakhis to Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the Sapta Shakti Command, and other soldiers, symbolising the timeless thread of protection, respect, and gratitude that binds the nation to its armed forces.
Expressing deep admiration for the Indian Army’s selfless service and unwavering dedication, the Deputy CM said it was a privilege and honour to celebrate with those who safeguard the sovereignty of the Motherland. She praised the bravery of the armed forces, particularly during Operation Sindoor, where they delivered a decisive response to the enemy. She extended heartfelt thanks to soldiers who serve far from their families, protecting the nation with pride and honour.
On behalf of all ranks, Army Commander Lt. Gen. Manjinder Singh thanked the Deputy CM and the sisters for their gesture, noting that the 1,50,000 rakhis sent to soldiers in remote areas serve as a powerful source of motivation.
The celebration of Bharat Raksha Parv concluded with the sacred threads becoming more than a festive ritual — they stood as a reaffirmation of unity, gratitude, and the indomitable spirit of patriotism that defines India.
