###Shaurya Vatika to be Dedicated to Kargil Martyrs

Jaipur, In a commendable initiative by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, a Kargil Shaurya Vatika is being established in the premises of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly to mark the 26th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. A plantation drive of 1,100 saplings will be launched on Hariyali Amavasya, symbolizing gratitude towards the nation's fallen heroes.

Shaurya Vatika Plantation Ceremony
Speaker Devnani will inaugurate the event on Thursday by planting a Sindoor sapling. He will be joined by 21 Veeranganas (wives of Kargil martyrs), who will also plant saplings in the memory of their brave spouses. The event will also be graced by Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister for Sainik Kalyan; Sanjay Sharma, Minister for Forest and Environment; and Prem Singh Bajaur, Chairman of the Sainik Kalyan Board, along with several MLAs.

Five Species to Beautify the Vatika
Devnani informed that the Shaurya Vatika will feature five plant species—Sindoor, Areca Palm, Song of India, Kisna Ficus, and Croton. These plants are known to reduce air pollution and symbolize India’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. Their leaves are also widely used in traditional medicinal systems, contributing to a serene and positive environment.

Honour for Kargil Veeranganas
To commemorate this solemn occasion, the Assembly will honour 21 Veeranganas of soldiers who sacrificed their lives during Operation Vijay (Kargil War - 1999). They will be felicitated with shawls and mementos. These women hail from various districts, including Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Jaipur, and Kotputli-Behror.

A Tribute of Courage and Patriotism
Devnani emphasized that the Kargil War, fought in 1999 in the Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir, stands as a testament to the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers. The Shaurya Vatika is a tribute to their valour and will serve as a constant reminder to the society of the spirit of “Nation First”, inspiring future generations to embrace national service.
