### Hindustan Zinc Launches CSR Initiative for Rural Healthcare in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand: Strengthening its commitment to improving rural healthcare access, Hindustan Zinc, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has launched Mobile Health Vans in collaboration with the Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child. These vans will provide primary healthcare services across 25 villages in Gadarpur and Kichha blocks of Udham Singh Nagar district.

The initiative was flagged off by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami from his residence in Dehradun. Commending Hindustan Zinc for this noble step, the Chief Minister said the mobile health service would prove immensely beneficial for rural populations and urged villagers to make full use of the facility. He extended his best wishes and congratulations to everyone involved in this community-oriented effort.

During the event, Anamika Jha, SBU Head of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Pantnagar, and Murari Chandra, Deputy Director of the Mamta Health Institute, briefed the Chief Minister about the initiative.

The Mobile Health Vans have been specially designed to deliver essential healthcare services directly to rural communities, including medical checkups, basic treatments, and health counseling. The goal is to bridge the healthcare gap in remote areas and ensure that vital medical support reaches those who need it most—while also raising awareness about preventive healthcare.

Speaking on the occasion, Anamika Jha described the launch of the mobile health vehicle as a milestone in Hindustan Zinc’s continuous efforts to strengthen community health facilities. She added that Mobile Medical Units are currently operational in 135 villages across Uttarakhand and four districts of Rajasthan, staffed by doctors, nurses, counselors, drivers, and coordinators. Through its various welfare projects, Hindustan Zinc has benefited nearly two lakh people across both states.

The program is being implemented with technical support from Chief Medical Officer Dr. K.K. Agarwal and under the guidance of District Collector Nitin Bhadoria. The event was attended by District Collector Nitin Bhadoria, Chief Medical Officer Dr. K.K. Agarwal, Deputy Collector Pankaj Upadhyay, Sub-Divisional Officer Manish Bisht, Superintendent of Police Manikant Mishra, and other dignitaries.

The launch of the Mobile Health Van marks a significant step toward accessible and timely healthcare for rural communities, ensuring treatment and medication for both seasonal and general ailments. Since 2018, Hindustan Zinc has remained deeply committed to improving rural healthcare through a variety of community-driven initiatives.
