Dattatreya Hosabale: The New Promising face of RSS

Celebrating the auspicious Festival of Independence, it is being made to strengthen Indian culture. Not only Indian ethics but also Hinduism is getting a new dimension and new energy. The country and the world are eager to understand Hinduism not only in the 75th year of India's independence, but public curiosity is growing towards Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which reinforces Hinduism and nationalism. The new ‘sarkaryavah’ (Gen. Secretary) in the form of Dattatreya Hosbale to the Sangh can be called the beginning of a new era.

 The largest post in the Sangh is that of Sarsangh Chalak ( Head of Sangh)  the post currently held by Mohan Bhagwat but Sarsangh Chalak has got the status of guidance according to the constitution of RSS. Hence they do not play an active role in the daily activities of the Sangh. In such a situation, under his guidance, the entire functioning of the Sangh is looked after by Sarkaryavah and Sah-Sarkaryavah with him. In this way Dattatreya Hosbale has got the responsibility of the organization, under his leadership, new directions of the Sangh, new values, new standards, new realization and new organizational level will be achieved, because he brought Hindu culture alive, becoming the original creator and unfolding new dimensions.


Dattatreya Hosabale's entire life is a witness to the fact that leadership is not just ruled by others, it is necessary to be one's own self. Where the breaking of disciplines and the workers is not coordinated, the organization is not able to flourish with full energy and consciousness. Leadership is successful only by taking everyone together. Take decisions in the interest of everyone selflessly. The specialty of successful and unique leadership is to listen to everyone, understand everyone and tolerate everyone. In this sense, Hosabale  is a textual and beam of light because he shared his values, faith, organization skills and experience among all. Promoted the good and never ignored anyone's mistakes. Therefore, the directors of every organization associated with the Sangh should also learn these tips for efficient leadership. Preserve the glorious culture of the Sangh. Value the identity of every citizen. It would be a colossal mistake to turn a blind eye to the fact that every link in the chain is important.


Dattatreya Hosbale is a combative personality devoted entirely to work. He made many activists and a good campaigner. He always paid attention to social structure. He always displayed new thinking, new outlook and new environment while staying in Akhil Bharatia Vidyarthi Parishad and other Sangh posts. He is identified with an emotional person who has no opponent. Leaders of common political parties are also admirers of his qualities. If they feel that something is not in the interest of the country, then they will not miss to protest. The discussions of tribal and dalit groups in the Sangh's thinking are very strong today. There is a need to unify the entire nation.

Dattatreya Hosabale  aspires to do this. He has been given the responsibility to take the Sangh forward in future, he will do it well. He is the first Sarkaryavah of the Sangh who is a postgraduate in English. His mother language is Kannada but he has knowledge of many languages including Tamil, Marathi, Hindi and Sanskrit. With his taking over, there will definitely be a new ground, new thinking and new environment of the organization in South India. Dattatreya is believed to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his proximity can be gauged from the fact that in 2015 itself, Dattatreya was tried to be given the responsibility of Sarkaryavah but proved to be a failure. He was opposed by a section of the Sangh itself. His organization skills and effective administrative leadership had a huge advantage in creating electoral equations in favor of BJP in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

DatHosabole Hosabale was born on 01 December 1955 in Soraba taluk of Shimoga district, Karnataka. He became a Swayamsevak at the age of 13 in 1968 and joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in 1972. For the next 15 years, he was the General Secretary of the organization of the Council. He was also active in the JP movement of 1975-77 and for about twenty-two years, he also undertook a jail trip under 'MISA'. In prison, he also edited two handwritten journals. In 1978, he became a full-time worker in Vidyarthi Parishad as Nagpur Municipal Head of Public Relations. In the Vidyarthi Parishad, he held the position of National Organization-Minister of the Council, while discharging several responsibilities.

 He played an important role in the operation of the Youth Development Centre in Guwahati. He is also fully credited for the expansion of the functioning of the Vidyarthi Parishad in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Northeast India. Dattatreya Hosabale has traveled to Nepal, Russia, England, France and America. It has been performed innumerable times throughout India. Just a few days ago, after the severe earthquake in Nepal, he had gone to Nepal as head of relief material and relief team sent by the Union and served there for several days. In the year 2004, he was made the All India Co-Intellectual Head of the Association. Since then, he has been working in the post of Co-Sarkaryavah since 2008.


Dattatreya Hosabale  has done a lot of work for the creative, innovative and liveliness of Hindu culture, he is a 'Karamveer'. But the problem before us is how to measure that sky, how to tie it to the sea, how to count the number of drops of rain? The creative achievements of Hosbale's work-force are so much beyond the age scale that every formula of mathematics in his estimation will fall short. They are not individuals - representatives of religion, philosophy, literature and Hindu culture are national heroes. His dialogues, style, literature, thinking, dreams and resolutions are all related to the yogic abode of Hindu culture and philosophy. He made fortune by making effort - Apna, Sangh, Hindu-society and all those who have little faith and self-belief in their culture, their religion and their national values that our country and culture is unique and capable to get the title of 'World Leader'.

 Now there is a wave of nationalism in the new India. In the 75th year of independence,' Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' means that the world is a family; the Indian philosophy needs to be strengthened further. This work has been done by Rashtriya Swayam Sangh. The concept of national love, self-religion and self-culture is also a product of Hinduism. Swami Vivekananda had established Hinduism all over the world and Maharishi Dayanand paved the way for Hinduism by waving the flag of reformism in opposition to the hypocrisy in his own nation. Today, meaningful efforts are being made to make the same Hinduism the identity of the nation.

Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, MS Golwalkar, Veer Savarkar, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyay, K.C. Sudarshan, Rajju Bhaiyya and presently Mohan Bhagwat have been an important contributor of many mystics. Being a social and cultural organization, there is a need to understand how the Sangh changed the direction of Indian politics from anti nationalism to nationalism. Dattatreya Hosabale  was entrusted with a big responsibility. Such decisions are not sudden in the Sangh.  They are according to the experience and immediate needs of their aims and objectives. Dattatreya Hosabale has a lot of experience in the organization, so the biggest challenge before him is to establish consensus and omniscience by creating such discussions, erasing misconceptions, prejudices and urges. After Sarkaryavah was elected, Dattatreya Hosbole made his vision and mission clear on a few points. He strongly supported the law making states against it, condemning the lure for marriage and conversion of girls. He also clarified that courts use the word love jihad, we do not, and there is no question of religion in it.


The future of Dattatreya Hosabale is bright for the rise of Hindutva. It is related to Hinduism unity, universal nationality, universal religion, new possibilities of development of relative lifestyle. It would be Hosbole's goal to bring such experience and wisdom to the next generation for the development of a new India. There should be no place for untouchability and caste based inequality in Hindu society. There are thousands of people in the Sangh who have interred caste married. He also expressed his opinion on the issue of reservation and said that our constitution says that as long as backwardness exists in the society, reservation is needed and the union also confirms it. As far as the Ram temple is concerned, the construction of the Ram temple is a symbol of the nation's consciousness and faith. Certainly Hosabale's entire life is the security guard of Hindu culture and life-values. He is respectable and his thoughts are the philosophy of life. There is a desire of everyone to rise in the development journey of his leadership.
