St. Mary’s Student Goradhan Singh Solanki Wins Silver Medal at CBSE National Boxing Championship, Bringing Glory to Udaipur

Udaipur – Goradhan Singh Solanki, a student of St. Mary’s Convent Senior Secondary School, New Fatehpura, Udaipur, has brought pride to her school and city by winning a silver medal at the CBSE National Boxing Championship. The prestigious tournament was held from 10th to 14th September 2025 at S.D. Public School, Mahendragarh, Haryana.

Competing in the 40–42 kg weight category, Goradhan delivered an outstanding performance, securing second place at the national level. The achievement holds special significance for the institution, as it coincides with the school’s 75th Foundation Year – the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. This victory has added a golden chapter to the school’s historic milestone year.

On her return, Goradhan received a grand welcome at the school. A special ceremony was organized, where Principal Sister Kiran Jojo, along with the faculty and students, honored her with floral showers, thunderous applause, and a certificate of recognition.

Speaking on the occasion, Sister Kiran Jojo said, “Goradhan’s achievement is not only a matter of immense pride for our school but has also placed Udaipur on the national stage. This success makes our Diamond Jubilee celebrations even more memorable.”
