Dr. Daulat Singhji Kothari's 118th birthday was enthusiastically celebrated in Udaipur. The main event occurred at the Dr. D.S. Kothari Research and Educational Institute and the Paitrik Institution Science Committee premises. Acharya Labdhi Chandrasagar Maharaj, who was present via video conferencing from Palitana, blessed Dr Kothari and emphasized the importance of his vision to harmonize science and spirituality to preserve the Earth and the environment.
Padma Shri Shyam Sundar Paliwal expressed his views on the development of Pipalantari village and the need for tree plantation. Colonel Shivsih Sangadewot, the Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan University, announced the establishment of a scholarship in the name of Dr D.S. Kothari. Former Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Agriculture University, Narendra Singh Rathore, highlighted the importance of aligning the Kothari Institute with the new education policy and utilizing education and research for the benefit of society, as well as reaching new technologies to the general public.
Dr Surendra Singh Pokharna, the Chief Trustee of the Kothari Institute, provided information about the institute's past and future projects and emphasized the need to work towards saving the Earth and the environment. Dr Kundan Lal Kothari shared insights about the special qualities of Dr. D.S. Kothari in his welcome speech. Kamal Prakash Talesara conducted the program, and Shivcharan Kumar Vaid presented a vote of thanks.
The program began with a floral tribute at the statue of Dr D.S. Kothari located in Fatehsagar, in which family members, including Bhopal Singh Kothari, Vipin Kothari, and Paritosh Kothari, along with Kamal Prakash Talesara, Shiv Ratan Tiwari, and Surendra Singh Pokharna, participated. Similarly, a floral tribute was offered to the life-size statue of Dr Kothari at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, with the participation of Vice-Chancellor Indra Vardhan Trivedi, Kundan Lal Kothari, Narendra Joshi, Shivcharan Kumar Vaid, members of the Kothari family, and university students. Speakers shed light on Dr Kothari's life and shared their opinions on conveying his qualities to today's children.
