#### Dr. Pratap Singh Assumes Charge as MPUAT Vice-Chancellor

Udaipur,  Dr. Pratap Singh has taken charge as the new Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, on Sunday, 19 October 2025.

On this occasion, Dr. Singh emphasized the smooth implementation of central and state agricultural policies. He highlighted that the economic and educational development of the tribal communities in the region will be a key priority under the “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) initiative. Dr. Singh also stated that, with collective support, traditional knowledge, scientific thinking, and innovation, the university will work toward holistic growth and resolving all challenges. He urged the faculty and co-educational staff to actively participate with coordination and dedication.

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Dr. Singh paid floral tributes to Maharana Pratap’s statue at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, and to Swami Vivekananda’s statue at the university administrative building, encouraging inspiration from their life and teachings.

The event was attended by all senior university officials, directors, deans, department heads, faculty, Pensioners’ Welfare Committee members, staff welfare committee officials, and well-wishers, who congratulated him on assuming office. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh also extended his heartfelt Diwali greetings to farmers across the state and the university community.
