Self-Reliant India Pledge Campaign Conference Held in Udaipur
Udaipur: Under the directives of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state organization, the Developed India – Self-Reliant India Pledge Campaign Conference was grandly organized today at Sars Dairy Auditorium, Govardhan Vilas, Udaipur Rural Assembly Constituency. BJP Media In-Charge Dr. Seema Champawat stated that the event was chaired by BJP City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore under the leadership of Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, with Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the chief speaker.
District Coordinator of the Self-Reliant India Campaign, Takhtsingh Shaktawat, in his welcome address, highlighted that the campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047, began on 25 September 2025 (Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary) and will continue till 25 December 2025 (former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary). The nationwide campaign aims to spread awareness and motivate citizens to adopt self-reliance, and the Udaipur Rural Assembly conference is part of this larger initiative.
MLA Phool Singh Meena welcomed the guests and participants, emphasizing the importance of adopting swadeshi (indigenous products) and following the path of sustainable development. He added that the goal of a “Developed India” can only be achieved when every citizen embraces the pledge of a self-reliant India. He also extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to the large audience present on Dhanteras.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, while conveying greetings on Dhanvantari Trayodashi, stated that India’s journey toward a developed nation by 2047 must pass through self-reliance. He called it a national movement, encouraging every citizen to use domestically manufactured products and contribute to the country’s economic independence. He added that India has successfully navigated global challenges like economic slowdowns, demonetization, and the COVID-19 crisis, and today ranks among the leading exporters globally.
The minister further highlighted that India has become self-reliant in defense, electronics, mobile manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and vaccine production, exporting COVID-19 vaccines to over 100 countries. He urged citizens to integrate self-reliance into daily life by prioritizing indigenous products in routine consumption, stating that with this collective contribution, no global power can hinder India’s march toward a developed nation.
During the event, five notable individuals—Pinki Prajapat, Harsh Chhajed, Shiv Shakar Suthar, Rahul Jain, and Ratan Mongia—were specially felicitated by the Union Minister for their efforts in producing and marketing locally made products under the Vocal for Local initiative.
The conference was attended by prominent leaders including Udaipur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Manlal Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, City MLA Tarachand Jain, BJP City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore, State Cooperative Cell Coordinator Pramod Samar, former city district presidents, ex-MLAs, district vice presidents, and several key representatives from various wings of the BJP.
Women’s and Youth Wing leaders, district and mandal officials, campaign coordinators, and local representatives also participated actively in the conference.
The program was conducted by District General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi. Concluding the event, BJP City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore thanked all the office bearers, representatives, and workers for their presence despite it being Dhanteras, emphasizing that the dedication of the party workers is the cornerstone of the BJP’s success in the region.
This conference served as a platform to promote self-reliance, encourage local production, and inspire citizens to actively participate in building a Developed India by 2047.
