Rajasthan Will Not Tolerate Insult to Women: Pankaj Sharma

Udaipur | Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma has strongly condemned the misbehavior by a Station House Officer (SHO) towards former MLA Preeti Shaktawat. Calling it an insult to women's dignity, he described the incident as a reflection of the anti-people mindset of the BJP-led government.

In a scathing attack on the ruling party, Sharma said,

“Under Bhajan Lal’s BJP government, lawlessness has reached its peak. Not just common citizens, even former elected representatives are now being humiliated. This is disgraceful and a threat to democracy.”

Comparing with the Previous Congress Government

Sharma contrasted the current administration with the previous Congress-led Gehlot government, stating that

“During Gehlot’s tenure, there was mutual respect and harmony between the administration and public representatives. But such incidents under the current regime are becoming increasingly common, which is deeply concerning.”

Demands Strict Action and Reforms

He demanded a fair and impartial investigation into the incident and urged the state government to take strict disciplinary action against the SHO. He also called for concrete measures to prevent such incidents in the future, ensuring the dignity and respect of women and elected officials are upheld in Rajasthan.
