Udaipur – In a significant observance of Mewar's royal traditions, Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, along with his family, visited the revered Dwarkadhish Temple in Kankroli on Saturday. This marked his first visit after formally ascending the royal seat of Mewar.
At the temple, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar received blessings from his family’s spiritual mentor, Goswami 108 Shri Dr. Vagish Kumar. Accompanied by his wife Nivrutti Kumari Mewar, daughters Mohlakshika Kumari Mewar and Praneshwari Kumari Mewar, and son Haritraj Singh Mewar, he performed special rituals, praying for the prosperity and happiness of Mewar.
Following royal traditions, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar ceremonially greeted Dr. Vagish Kumar with Vedic mantras, offering a traditional bow to seek his blessings. The royal family was welcomed with a grand reception in Kankroli, reflecting Mewar’s time-honored customs.
Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar emphasized that the guru-disciple tradition has been an integral part of Mewar’s heritage since ancient times and pledged to continue preserving it. Notably, the coronation ceremony was conducted on April 2 after the passing of the late Arvind Singh Mewar, wherein Dr. Vagish Kumar had performed the formal enthronement rituals.
