Dr. Saroj Choudhary Awarded Ph.D. for Groundbreaking Research on Diabetes

Udaipur – Dr. Saroj Choudhary was recently conferred with a Ph.D. degree by Geetanjali University, Udaipur, on June 26, 2025. Her doctoral research was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manjinder Kaur on the topic:
“A Comparative Study to Evaluate Central Neuropathy through Visual Evoked Potentials in Patients of Uncomplicated Diabetes Mellitus and Non-Diabetic Controls.”

This study provides new hope for diabetic patients, as it demonstrates that Visual Evoked Potentials (VEPs) can detect functional impairment in the visual pathway even before the clinical signs of diabetic retinopathy appear. The early diagnostic capability of VEPs can aid in preventive care and timely intervention for diabetes-related complications.

Dr. Choudhary’s research is being hailed as a significant contribution to diabetic neuropathy research, potentially enhancing early diagnosis and monitoring strategies for patients suffering from uncomplicated diabetes mellitus.
