Udaipur, Following the directives of Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate, the Rajasthan Excise Department undertook a special enforcement drive to curb illegal liquor production, storage, transportation, and sale across the state. During the month of September, over 1,94,266 litres of wash were destroyed as part of these stringent actions.
Strict Action Across the State
During the campaign, the excise department registered 823 cases and arrested 707 individuals involved in illicit liquor activities. The seized contraband included:
Foreign-made Indian liquor: 10,460 bottles
Desi liquor: 4,667 bottles
Illegal liquor: 5,885 bottles
Beer: 1,902 bottles
Cannabis: 1 kg
Spirit: 2,094 litres
Vehicles Seized During the Campaign
A total of 37 vehicles used for transporting illegal liquor were seized, including:
27 two-wheelers
6 light four-wheelers
4 heavy four-wheelers
