Urban Square Mall Hosts Fire Safety Week

Udaipur: In collaboration with the Fire Department, Urban Square Mall is celebrating Fire Safety Week to educate employees and retailers about the importance of fire safety measures. The event, held from April 14th to 20th, aims to raise awareness and train individuals on fire safety practices.

During the inauguration of the Fire Safety Week at Urban Square Mall, various programs were organized to impart knowledge about fire prevention and management. The participants were engaged in fire drills, training sessions, and a live mock drill to demonstrate the handling of fire incidents and the causes behind them. Navdeep Bhalla, Assistant Fire Officer (Udaipur Fire Department), led the program.

Addressing the attendees, Uddhav Poddar, Managing Director of Bhoomika Group, highlighted the increasing incidence of fire incidents due to dry weather conditions and rising temperatures during summers. He emphasized the importance of fire safety awareness among employees, retailers, and the general public to prevent loss of life and property. Poddar stated that such initiatives play a crucial role in educating people about fire safety measures and preparedness.

Providing insights into the Fire Safety Week activities, officials from the Udaipur Fire Department explained that despite the presence of fire extinguishing equipment, lack of awareness often leads to ineffective utilization during emergencies. Therefore, the Fire Safety Week aims to bridge this gap by providing comprehensive training and guidance on fire safety protocols.

Throughout the week-long event, information sessions on safety measures will be conducted daily to ensure that individuals are well-prepared to handle fire emergencies.
