Record Voter Turnout in Udaipur Constituency Marks 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

Udaipur, The second phase of the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 witnessed a peaceful and significant turnout of voters in Udaipur. According to the District Election Officer Arvind Poswal, a total of 66.66% voter turnout was recorded in the Udaipur parliamentary constituency. Out of the total 2,230,971 registered voters, 1,487,268 exercised their franchise.

Women took the lead in contributing to this democratic exercise, with a voter turnout of 68.01%, surpassing the male voter turnout of 65.36%. Notably, in both urban and rural assembly constituencies, female voter participation exceeded that of males.

Breaking down the numbers, in the assembly constituencies, Gogunda recorded the highest turnout with 65.35%, while Bagdana at the Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School Room No. 12 polling center in Gogunda witnessed the lowest turnout of 32.78%.

Across various assembly segments, voter participation varied, with some witnessing over 90% turnout, such as Hadmat in the Jhadol assembly segment, while others like Roomavi Titardi in the Udaipur Rural assembly segment saw around 47.27% turnout.

the elections were conducted smoothly, reflecting a robust participation of citizens in the democratic process. The final results are awaited eagerly, with this historic turnout signaling an engaged and empowered electorate in Udaipur.
