Farewell Ceremony for Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka

 

Udaipur, The Welfare Committee of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) organized an emotional farewell ceremony to honor Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka on the completion of his three-year golden service tenure at the university.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Karnataka’s tenure concludes on 15 October 2025. Until a new Vice-Chancellor is appointed, the Hon’ble Governor has entrusted Dr. B. L. Verma, Vice-Chancellor of Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, with the additional charge of MPUAT. He is scheduled to assume office on 15 October afternoon.

The ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Registrar Mr. Ashok Kumar, Finance Controller Ms. Darshana Gupta, Director Planning & CTI In-Charge Dr. Sunil Joshi, Special Officer Dr. Subodh Sharma, Controller of Examinations Dr. R. H. Meena, Welfare Committee Secretary Jagat Singh Pawar, Treasurer Abhay Singh, former Private Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor Mr. Narayan Singh Chauhan, Vice-Chancellor’s Private Secretary Mr. Vishal Ajmer, Vice President Mr. L. N. Salvi, and several other office-bearers and committee members.

During the program, the executive committee honored Dr. Karnataka with a citation, ceremonial shawl, memento, and traditional gifts. Mr. Ashok Kumar praised him as an exemplary administrator and wished him a prosperous future. Ms. Darshana Gupta highlighted his kind, affectionate, and extraordinary personality, noting how he efficiently managed responsibilities of three universities simultaneously.

Vice President Salvi expressed that the university and its staff would remember Dr. Karnataka with love and respect, drawing inspiration from his leadership for future progress. Dr. Karnataka acknowledged the dedication and simplicity of the university staff and expressed confidence that, with collective effort, MPUAT has the potential to become a leading university at both state and national levels, extending his best wishes and blessings.

The program was conducted by Dr. Ram Hari Meena, and at the conclusion, Welfare Committee President Mr. Dinesh Sukhwal thanked all attendees.
