Dr. Shyoram Yadav Conducts Review and Evaluation of Crop Diversification Pilot Project in Udaipur District

Dr. Shyoram Yadav, a technical officer from the Directorate of Extension, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), conducted a comprehensive review and evaluation of the Crop Diversification Pilot Project being implemented under the Food and Nutrition Security Mission at the Research Directorate of Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University (MPUAT), Udaipur. He visited Block Jhadol in Udaipur district for this purpose. The project is currently operational in the villages of Falasia, Turgadh, Amiwada, and Dhala in the Jhadol tehsil of Udaipur district. Project Coordinator Dr. Hari Singh briefed Dr. Yadav about the implementation of the project, development of GIS-based decision support system, formulation of crop patterns, understanding farmers' problems, and providing information about the benefits of crop diversification.

Dr. Yadav inspected the fields of selected farmers in the Jhadol and Falasia regions, providing them with information on agricultural practices and optimal crop production with minimal costs and water usage. He also collected feedback from farmers on the activities carried out under the project. Dr. Yadav expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the progress made in the project.

After his three-day field inspection in Udaipur, Technical Officer Yadav has been directed to oversee his work for the Sirohi district.
