Organization of One-Day Farmer Training and Input Distribution Program on Mango Cultivation

Under the All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Fruit Production (AICRP-IFP) operated by MPUAT, a one-day farmer training and input distribution program was organized at the University's Horticulture Farm for adopting mango cultivation. A total of 43 farmers participated in the program. Subject matter experts Dr. K.K. Yadav, Dr. B.G. Chhipa, and Dr. Pokhar Rawal provided information to farmers about scientific techniques for cultivating improved varieties of mangoes. Farmers were advised to intercrop seasonal vegetables between mango trees and root crops to increase their profits.

At the concluding ceremony of the program, Department Head Dr. H.L. Berwa, Project Coordinator Dr. S.S. Lakhawat, Dr. L.N. Mahavar, and Dr. K.K. Yadav distributed 50 saplings of improved mango varieties, fertilizers, pesticides, spray machines, and small agricultural tools to each participating farmer. Project Coordinator Dr. S.S. Lakhawat expressed heartfelt gratitude to all subject matter experts and farmers for their participation in the program.
