Neglected E-Rickshaws, Waste of Funds at MLSU Campus

To promote environmental protection, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) had launched electric rickshaws on campus, spending lakhs of rupees. Today, these rickshaws lie abandoned like junk behind the university auditorium. This raises a serious question—who is responsible for this?

What was once showcased through photographs sent to the government as a “pollution-free campus” has now returned to its original polluted state. This is a clear case of government fund misuse. Despite prior requests to revive these e-rickshaws, the condition remains unchanged.

The appeal is to:

• Reintroduce the rickshaws into daily use

• Restore the campus to a clean and smoke-free environment

• Take strict action against those responsible for their neglect

• Ensure that public money is not wasted
