Udaipur: The Kumawat Mahapanchayat Society, Mandi Surajpol, celebrated the Annakoot Festival on Sunday, 26 October 2025, at the sacred premises of Charbhuja Temple, Surajpol, Udaipur, with deep devotion, grandeur, and enthusiasm.
Panchayat Vice President and former Councillor Madan Singh Baberwal shared that the temple complex was beautifully adorned with flowers, traditional rangolis, and lamps, and witnessed a large gathering of devotees and society members since early morning. The celebration began with ritual worship and aarti, conducted with complete religious decorum, accompanied by soulful bhajan-kirtan led by elders and priests of the Kumawat community.
Panchayat President Dr. Kanhaiya Lal Nahar highlighted that the festival featured several key events, including a bhajan evening, folk dance performances, spiritual discourses, and cultural programs by children. In his address, Dr. Nahar emphasized the importance of preserving tradition, social harmony, and connecting the younger generation with cultural and spiritual values. He noted that such events go beyond religious rituals — they strengthen community bonds, encourage education, and promote unity.
The participation of youth and women added vibrancy to the celebration, blending modernity with tradition. Special performances by children, including self-composed bhajans and traditional dance acts, were warmly appreciated by the audience. A community feast (Maha Bhojan) and prasadam were also arranged, contributed by many families of the society. With excellent administrative coordination and security arrangements, the event concluded peacefully and successfully.
Towards the end, community representatives extended gratitude to all participants and appealed for collective cooperation in upcoming social and cultural initiatives.
