Meeting of Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary Eco-Sensitive Zone Monitoring Committee

Udaipur: A meeting of the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary Eco-Sensitive Zone Monitoring Committee was held on Monday at the District Collectorate Mini Hall, chaired by District Collector Arvind Poswal. During the meeting, Collector Poswal discussed various aspects of the master plan for the sensitive zone and stated that new construction approvals in the area can only be issued in accordance with the rules of the master plan. He also provided necessary instructions to the attending officials regarding the conservation of the sensitive zone.

During the meeting, seven cases of land conversion within the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary’s Eco-Sensitive Zone were presented to the committee. After discussions with the relevant department officials, approval was granted for three of the cases.

The meeting was attended by UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ramprakash, Girwa Sub-Divisional Officer Riya Dabi, UDA OSD Jitendra Ojha, Assistant Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Sunil Kumar Singh, Superintending Engineer of the Water Resources Department Manoj Jain, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department Shikha Saxena, District Industry Officer Chokharam, and officials from various other departments.
