Armed Forces Flag Day Celebrated

Udaipur: The Armed Forces Flag Day was celebrated with enthusiasm on Saturday at the District Soldier Welfare Office, Udaipur.

Colonel K.S. Bhati (Retd.), the District Soldier Welfare Officer, informed that the event was attended by senior retired military officers, including Wing Commander K.S. Panwar "Vir Chakra," Wing Commander Suklecha, Colonel Mendiratta, and other former soldiers. Voluntary financial contributions were made for the welfare of soldiers.

Colonel Bhati explained that the Armed Forces Flag Day is observed every year on December 7th, starting from 1949, for the welfare of the personnel of the Indian Armed Forces. The funds raised on this day are used for providing assistance to the families of those who lost their lives in war, as well as for the welfare of serving personnel, ex-servicemen, their dependents, and families. Financial contributions (donations) can be made in the name of the District Soldier Welfare Officer, Udaipur, through cheques/DDs or via the department's QR code.

It is noteworthy that Flag Day serves as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our armed forces.

Launch of a Small Booklet

During the event, Colonel K.S. Bhati (Retd.) launched a small booklet on the Armed Forces Flag Day, which was created by the micro-craftsman and author, Chandraprakash Chittoda.
