Udaipur, On the death anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a floral tribute and seminar were organized at the Udaipur Rural District Congress office, Surajpole.
District Congress Spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit informed that Nehru Ji's portrait was garlanded and a seminar was held in his memory. Speaking at the event, Udaipur Rural District Congress President Kachru Lal Chaudhary said Nehru was not only a builder of modern India but also a symbol of democratic strength and self-reliance.
He emphasized Nehru's visionary contributions—from establishing IITs and AIIMS to launching national projects like Bhakra Nangal and Hirakud dams. These initiatives provided irrigation to vast agricultural lands and strengthened the nation's infrastructure.
Chaudhary also highlighted Nehru's Panchsheel principles, which promoted peace and non-alignment—values that remain globally relevant even today.
The program saw participation from leaders and Congress workers including Naval Singh Chundawat, Dr. Mahesh Tripathi, Bhagwan Lal Ahir, Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, Bhanu Gurjar, Ratan Lal Purbia, Titu Suthar, Bhupendra Ahir, Laxmi Lal Soni, teacher leader Lalu Ram Bhajat, Sannu Khan, Salim Khan, and Bhagwan Lal Prajapat.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Lalu Ram Bhajat. Prof. Preem Suman’s presence was notably appreciated.
