#### Veteran Journalist Hiralal Vyas Passes Away, Media Fraternity in Mourning

Kota – The media fraternity was plunged into grief following the demise of senior journalist and former Bureau Chief of UNI Hindi Service, Hiralal Vyas, a resident of Patanpol in Kota. He passed away on Friday at his residence in Vadodara due to cardiac arrest. He was 78.

His younger brother Manohar Vyas informed that Hiralal Vyas was born in September 1947 and breathed his last on 4 July 2025. He is survived by a son, a daughter, a son-in-law, and grandchildren.

A Career Spanning Over Four Decades
Late Hiralal Vyas began his journalism career with Hindustan Samachar (Ahmedabad). He subsequently worked actively in Delhi, Jaipur, Indore, Jabalpur, and Bhopal. In 1982, he moved to Kota where he was appointed as Bureau Chief of UNI Hindi Service.

He served in UNI for nearly 20 years and retired in 2007 as the Rajasthan Bureau Chief. Post-retirement, he continued to contribute as a freelance journalist and remained actively involved in both the media and social sectors. He also played a key role in the establishment and development of the Kota Press Club.

Condolences Pour In
Many media organizations and professionals expressed their deep condolences over the loss of the veteran journalist. Dr. P.K. Singhal, President of Rajasthan Accredited Journalists Federation and former Joint Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, freelance journalist K.D. Abbasi, Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Ki Mahima D.N. Gandhi, editor Brijraj Singh Solanki, assistant editor Kader Khan, legal advisor to the federation Advocate Akhtar Khan Akela, and Advocate Ikramuddin Khan paid their heartfelt tributes.

President of Media Council of Journalists Rajasthan, Neeraj Gupta, State General Secretary Yogesh Joshi, National Executive Member Manohar Parik, former Press Club President Dheeraj Gupta Tej, senior journalists Vijay Mathur, Purushottam Pancholi, Dhirendra Rahul, Damodar Bhatt, Subodh Jain, Janardan Gupta, State President of Journalists Association of Rajasthan Harivallabh Meghwal, former PIB Director Ramkhiladi Meena, Dinesh Gautam Mama, Greater Press Club President Sunil Mathur, Ravindra Sharma, and Rahul Parik were among those who expressed their condolences and paid homage.

The passing of Hiralal Vyas, known for his honesty, impartiality, and dedication, marks an irreparable loss to the field of journalism.
