What Significance do Modi's Schemes Hold for Those Trying to Shutdown Modi: Gunjal

In Kota, KD Abasi, Gunjal questioned the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's schemes for those advocating to shut down Modi's governance. Gunjal remarked that when the people of Kota-Bundi constituency elected Mr. Birla as their Member of Parliament twice, making him a parliamentarian for ten years, and now they demand accountability for his decade-long tenure, Mr. Birla dismisses it as a national election, focusing on building a developed India by 2047. Gunjal raised the question: How can India progress until the conditions of villages, the poor, farmers, and soldiers improve?

Gunjal specifically pointed out Mr. Birla's efforts in starting the sugar mill in Keshorai Patan for farmers. He also reminded Mr. Birla about the Adarsh Gram Yojana announced by the Prime Minister in 2014, aiming to develop one ideal village in each parliamentary constituency by 2016, and three more by 2019 and five by 2024. Gunjal challenged Mr. Birla to reveal which village he selected to develop as an ideal village under this scheme. He criticized Mr. Birla for his focus on Modi, temples, and Article 370, while neglecting the plight of villages, the poor, farmers, and soldiers.

Gunjal emphasized that despite being a powerful figure as a Member of Parliament and later as the Lok Sabha Speaker, Mr. Birla was unable to fulfill his promises. Gunjal questioned the relevance of Modi's schemes for those in power, suggesting that if Mr. Birla had the strength, he could have even shut down Modi. He urged Mr. Birla to reflect on his priorities and address the pressing issues facing the country instead of engaging in political rhetoric.
