Sarita Kumari Wins Top Weaver Award

Jaisalmer, To recognize skilled weavers and cooperative societies, the District Industries and Commerce Centre, Jaisalmer, conducted the selection meeting for the District-Level Handloom/Weaver Awards 2025. Chaired by District Collector Pratap Singh, the committee awarded Sarita Kumari, daughter of Dungarram from village That, the first prize. Gordhanram and Tilokaram from That secured the second and third positions, while Deeparam from Meghrikhser and Shuraram from Gomat received consolation prizes. GM Santosh Kumari stated that the winners would receive ₹5100, ₹3100, ₹2100, and ₹1100 respectively. The top two entries will be sent for state-level selection in Jaipur.
