### Preservation of Sanskrit Vital for Culture: Vice-Chancellor Sarangdevot

 

Udaipur, . Sanskrit must be preserved and promoted to sustain the essence of Indian culture, stated Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, during the inaugural ceremony of a seven-day residential Sanskrit Sambhashan (spoken Sanskrit) training camp organized by Sanskrit Bharati, Udaipur division.

He emphasized that Sanskrit is not just the pillar of Indian culture but also a language that inspires the ideals of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (world as one family) and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah (may all be happy). The camp, dedicated to personality development, language expansion, and daily conversational Sanskrit, is being held at Kisan Bhawan near Reti Stand.

Guest of Honour Pramod Samar highlighted that Sanskrit is the soul of India, a language to be cherished like a mother tongue, and the origin of the entire Indian language family.

Camp in-charge Narendra Sharma informed that the participants include students from Class 9 to postgraduate level, teachers, homemakers, professionals, and Sanskrit enthusiasts. The primary goal is to enable people to use Sanskrit not only as a classical language but as a tool for daily communication with confidence.

The programme was also graced by Dr. Bhagwati Shankar Vyas, Principal of Savina Sanskrit Vidyalaya, and Sanjay Shandilya, President of Sanskrit Bharati Mahanagar. Chief instructors Shreyansh Kansara and Manaram Chaudhary are teaching the nuances of spoken Sanskrit.

Shreyansh Kansara remarked that this week-long training will help participants strengthen practical language usage in a simplified manner. Sanskrit songs were presented by District Secretary Mukesh Kumawat, showcasing the language’s melodic charm. Dr. Renu Paliwal, women’s coordinator, extended her gratitude to all contributors for making the camp successful.

The camp aims to instill conversational skills so participants can naturally incorporate Sanskrit into their daily lives.

Other key contributors included Dr. Yagya Ameta, Manaram Chaudhary, Shreyansh Kansara, Narendra Sharma, Chain Shankar Dashora, Dushyant Nagda, Dr. Renu Paliwal, Kuldeep Joshi, Vikas Dangi, Mehran, Jai, Sonal, and Neelu Dangi.
