GMCH: Stones successfully removed from both kidneys.

Dr. Vishwas Baheti serving Geetanjali Hospital's Urology Department, and Dr. Pankaj Trivedi, anesthesiologist Dr. Anil Bhiwal in the team, successfully treated a 30-year-old patient resident of Bhilwara suffering from a stone in both kidneys joined in one side.

Detailed information:

The patient who came for treatment from Bhilwara said that he had a stone problem since 2019, the patient also got the sonography test in Bhilwara, in which it was told that the patient has only one kidney, and the stone was confirmed. After this, the patient also took medicines but did not get any health benefits.

Dr. Vishwas said that the patient suffered from a rare and unusual congenital malformation called crossed-fused ectopic kidney. Usually, we all have both kidneys, one on the right and one on the left side, but this patient's kidneys have been on the right side since birth. The patient had stones in both kidneys. There were 2 stones in the left kidney, which were larger than 2 cm, and one in the right kidney, which was about 1 cm. PCNL was planned to keep the patient's condition in view, and stones were successfully removed from both kidneys in the same stage of a patient with tubeless PCNL. The risk of bleeding is usually high in this type of operation. The patient was successfully operated on without any complications. The patient is still in good health and was discharged on the second day after the procedure.

Geetanjali Hospital's urology department is equipped with all advanced techniques and resources, due to which complex problems are being resolved continuously.

Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital has been providing all world-class services under one roof for the last 16 years and has been setting records in the medical field, says Ceo prateem Tamboli.
