Grand Inauguration of “Sangam: Model United Nations 2025” at DPS Udaipur

The three-day event “Sangam: Model United Nations 2025” was grandly inaugurated on July 11, 2025, at Delhi Public School, Udaipur. The Chief Guest for the opening ceremony was Assistant Collector of Udaipur, Ms. Srishti Dabas.

The program began with a traditional prayer, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Principal Sanjay Narwaria. Addressing the gathering of 265 participants from over 45 schools across Udaipur and beyond, Ms. Dabas emphasized the importance of co-curricular activities alongside academics. She highlighted that such conferences provide a platform for students to engage in global issues, build discussion and debating skills, and foster a deeper understanding of international affairs.

A team of 50 teachers, 25 alumni, and subject experts from Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur are playing a crucial role in organizing and guiding the event.

Mrs. Apoorva Agrawal, a member of the school management committee, remarked that such initiatives help students become global citizens and develop leadership skills essential for the future.

The formal commencement of the conference was marked by the introduction of coordinators and organizing members. Students of DPS Udaipur also presented a welcome song and dance performance to celebrate the occasion.

Over the next three days, participants will engage in debates, discussions, and deliberations on various global issues, polishing their skills and enhancing their personalities through intellectual collaboration and public speaking.
