Annual Conference of Indian Railway Goods Shed Workers' Union at JRNU Stadium in Udaipur

In Udaipur, the annual conference of the Indian Railway Goods Shed Workers' Union will be held on Saturday at the Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University Stadium. Approximately 20,000 employees associated with the union are expected to participate in this conference.

The organizers of the Indian Railway Goods Shed Workers' Union informed on Friday that the union was established in 1998 under the leadership of Shri Arun Kumar Paswan, under the guidance of Shri Sahib Singh Verma. They further revealed that the primary objective of the union is to provide basic facilities to the laborers working in railway goods sheds and regularize their positions.

With relentless efforts from the union's leadership, including the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Paswan and Protector of the Union Jagdambika Pal, the government has allocated INR 12,000 crores in the fiscal year 2023 for the expansion of essential amenities at goods sheds across India. These enhancements will include facilities such as toilets, drinking water, trade rooms, labor rest areas, and platform modernization.

The annual conference aims to collaborate with the Indian government to promptly implement the new policy designed for the development of railway goods sheds and the welfare of laborers. During the conference, discussions will also take place on various issues related to the union, and resolutions will be formulated to address the concerns of the union's workers.

The special guests at the conference will include the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal, and the Minister of State for Railways, Darshana Jardosh. Other notable attendees include Udaipur Member of Parliament Arjun Lal Meena, Udaipur MLA Phool Singh Meena, and the BJP's Rajasthan State President, CP Joshi.

The program will feature distinguished guests, including the National President of the Indian Railway Goods Shed Workers' Union, Arun Kumar Paswan, and the National Coordinator, Manoranjan Kumar. Senior officials from various districts of Rajasthan will also participate, making it a significant gathering for the Indian Railway Goods Shed Workers' Union.
