Ashtanga Yoga: A Natural Cure for Many Ailments

Udaipur – A significant step towards holistic wellness was taken as Dr. Sweety Chhabra, founder of NICC, along with Yoga Guru Bhavna Jain, initiated regular sessions of Ashtanga Yoga at MICC. Sharing details, Dr. Chhabra stated that yoga, when adopted as an integral part of life and practiced regularly, can help cure even chronic illnesses within a short time.

Yoga Guru Bhavna Jain explained that yoga simply means "union." It is not a complex activity requiring prior preparation; rather, any act done with complete attention is a form of meditation. Whether you're eating, walking, or working—if you're focused, you're meditating. She emphasized five essential elements for a healthy life:

Stress-free living – A calm mind is the foundation of good health.

Oxygen – Vital for survival; deep breathing and pranayama enhance oxygen intake.

Water – Stay hydrated consistently throughout the day.

Balanced diet – Know what to eat, when, and in what quantity.

Active lifestyle – A light walk after meals aids digestion and keeps the body active.

During the session, Yoga Guru Avichal Gandhi shared his inspiring recovery journey through yoga. In 2019, he developed a painful lump inside his lips. Despite undergoing surgery twice, the problem kept recurring. During the pandemic, he researched natural remedies online and discovered yoga and asanas as effective solutions.

Practicing various yoga postures at home, he noticed a gradual but complete recovery. Since then, the issue has not returned, even in 2025. He believes that most ailments stem from poor blood circulation or blockage, and yoga helped him reopen those channels, restoring his health naturally.

The initiative marks a powerful testament to how ancient practices like Ashtanga Yoga can transform modern lives and promote long-term wellness.
