Udaipur's Haj Pilgrims Depart Amid Emotional Farewell

Udaipur,  The streets of Khajipir, Savina, Malla Talai, Kanji ka Hata, and several other Muslim-dominated areas of Udaipur resonated with chants of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik” as Haj pilgrims were sent off with great reverence and warmth by community members and relatives today. The departure was marked by processions, as people came together to offer their blessings and bid farewell to the travelers embarking on the sacred pilgrimage.

On this occasion, Firoz Ahmed Sheikh, member of the Udaipur Haj Committee and former councillor, congratulated the pilgrims and urged them to pray for the country’s progress and communal harmony.

“I pray to Allah to accept the Haj of all pilgrims and grant all of us the opportunity to undertake this journey someday,” he added.

According to official sources, 165 pilgrims from Udaipur and 9 from Rajsamand are participating in this year’s Haj. The last flight from Rajasthan for the Haj pilgrimage is scheduled to depart from Jaipur by 8 May.
