7th Installation and Charter Day Celebrated by Rotary Club Vasudha

Udaipur: The 7th Installation and Charter Day Ceremony of Rotary Club Vasudha was held today at Kaner Bagh, Udaipur. The event was graced by chief guest Nirmal Singhvi, special guest former District Governor and DRFC Chairman Dr. Nirmal Kunawat, installing officer and District Governor (Nominee) Deepak Sukhadia, and Assistant Governor Dr. Deepak Sharma.

Outgoing President Mrs. Sharad Rathore welcomed the guests and shared the club’s achievements under her leadership. Rotary Club Vasudha was honored with several prestigious awards, including Best President Award in District 3056, Outstanding President, Best Community Service Award, Best Social Service Award, and the Green Festival Award, making it one of the most celebrated clubs among 88 in the district. Senior Rotarians and members lauded her tenure as unforgettable. On this occasion, the club also donated yoga mats and stationery to an institute supporting underprivileged children.

Nirmal Singhvi, while administering the oath to the new executive committee, praised the impactful work done by the club over the past seven years. He remarked that even in global crises like wars, Rotary continues to lead in humanitarian efforts, and service can also be a field of healthy competition.

Deepak Sukhadia administered the oath to the newly elected President Dr. Rajni Sharma and Secretary Sangeeta Tated, emphasizing that one must think big even in small acts and aim to be impactful rather than just exceptional. He noted that Rotary Foundation carried out global service projects worth ₹2,500 crore last year.

Dr. Rajni Sharma, in her address, outlined the club’s upcoming plans, which will focus on education, health, environment, and social awareness for positive change.

Dr. Nirmal Kunawat informed that service projects worth ₹40 crore are underway in District 3056, and global grant projects can fund up to ₹20 lakh. He also inducted Seema Chauhan as a new member of the club.

Charter President Shakuntala Porwal shared highlights of the club’s journey and district-level accolades over the last seven years. Assistant Governor Dr. Deepak Sharma briefed members about the annual goals set by District Governor Pragya Mehta.

Secretary Sangeeta Tated opened the ceremony with a welcome song, while Sushma Arora read the Four-Way Test. The event witnessed the presence of Zone Coordinator Bhavya Garg and many other club members. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sangeeta Tated.
