Udaipur. Jain Social Group 'Main' Udaipur celebrated its 28th Foundation Day with grandeur at the Vigyan Samiti auditorium. Chief Guest Arun Mandot, Chairman of the Mewar Region, graced the occasion along with Dr. O.P. Chaplot – Founder Chairman of the Mewar Region, former president Ashutosh Sisodia, regional secretary and current president K.S. Nalwaya, outgoing president Shantilal Mehta, vice president Kamal Kothari, and secretary Gautam Kumar Nagori.
Media in-charge Prof. Vimal Sharma informed that the event commenced with group laughter yoga and the chanting of the Navkar Mantra to spread positivity. The dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp and offered floral tribute to Lord Mahavir. The Federation pledge was recited by Smt. Kamla Nalwaya, and the group prayer was led by Smt. Rama Sacheti and Smt. Lalita Babel.
Group President K.S. Nalwaya extended a warm welcome to all past presidents and couples on the occasion, offering birthday and anniversary wishes for members born or married in April and May, praying for their well-being and longevity.
A special moment of the celebration was the presentation of Prof. Prem Suman Jain acknowledging his significant contributions to the group’s legacy and vision. Prof. Prem Suman Jain, a former president, also shared his reflections on the group’s journey and mission.
Another former president, Shri Nandlal Nawedia, also expressed his thoughts on the occasion. Chief Guest Arun Mandot shared insights about upcoming projects and presented a vision for establishing a dedicated building for the Mewar Region. He personally pledged ₹11 lakh, inspiring President Nalwaya and other members to announce ₹4 lakh contributions each. Mandot also gifted three religious books to all members.
Prof. Vimal Sharma recalled that Jain Social Group was founded on 30th May 1997 under the leadership of Late Shri Kundanmal Bordia. The organization has flourished under the guidance of 12 past presidents over 28 years.
During 2023–25, under President Shantilal Mehta and Secretary Kamal Kothari, the group executed 300 service activities worth ₹24 lakh, setting a new milestone. From 1st to 25th April 2025, the current term saw 25 service initiatives amounting to ₹1,61,900.
Two major initiatives were:
Panch Tirth Darshan and Navkarshi for 80 members on 1st April, along with feeding birds, cows, and fish.
Distribution of 4,000 buttermilk pouches on Mahavir Jayanti on 10th April.
Secretary Gautam Kumar Nagori presented the details of service activities conducted in 2025–26. Shri Narendra Kanthaliya announced the donation of a water purifier, while Shri Khoobilal Singhi pledged to install security cameras at Vidya Niketan School, Badgaon.
Joint Secretary Rajendra Khokhawat honored April–May birthday and anniversary members with garlands and gifts.
Cultural performances by Smt. Asha Mogra, Kanchan Soni, Prabha Jain, Sushma Jain, Mehtab Hiran, and Asha Singhi added charm, while Surendra Dak entertained the audience with Bollywood songs. All performers and host Smt. Usha Dak were felicitated with gifts and "uparna."
Vice President Kamal Kothari concluded the event with a vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem, tribute, and dinner, formally closing the celebration.
