Udaipur. On the recommendation of Rotary Club Uday, approval was granted by Rotary International for the establishment of Rotary Club Seniors on the occasion of the 119th Rotary International Foundation Day in the city today. On this occasion, District Governor Dr. Nirmal Kunawat and club members launched the poster of the new club.*
Rajesh Chugh, the club's advisor, and Dr. Ritu Vaishnav highlighted that the club will utilize workshops and resources to enhance financial literacy among senior citizens. The main objective of the club is to encourage members to actively participate in volunteer activities and philanthropic initiatives for a positive impact on the larger community.
Dr. Nirmal Kunawat, the District Governor, stated that Rotary Club Uday has undertaken a commendable task by establishing a separate club for senior citizens in the city. The club will provide a platform for senior citizens to share joys and sorrows with each other. Various activities will be organized for them in the club. This marks the first time in the city that a Rotary Club has been formed exclusively for senior citizens.
The club, specially designed for senior citizens, aims to advocate for better healthcare services, raise awareness about health-related issues, and conduct health camps or wellness programs. Fostering a strong sense of community among members, the club will provide networking opportunities for senior citizens to connect with each other. Plans are underway to organize travel excursions and adventurous activities to promote an active and courageous lifestyle among senior citizens.
Co-coordinator of the club formation, Karan Garg, explained that the club will support and encourage artistic expression through activities such as painting, crafting, and other creative endeavors. Providing assistance and information on legal matters affecting senior citizens, the club will inform them about their rights and options.
On this occasion, District Governor Dr. Nirmal Kunawat, project coordinator Dr. Sima Singh, Rajesh Chugh, Kuldeep Chaturvedi, Mohit Rameja, Deepesh Hemanani, Ashish Lohar, Aditi Rathore, Deepak Chugh, Priyanka Chaplot, Sakshi Dodaja, and many other members were present.
