Udaipur: In celebration of the United Nations declaring December 21 as World Meditation Day, various institutions across Udaipur organized meditation sessions on this inaugural occasion. Participants set aside their daily stress and worries to experience the joy of meditation, achieving mental satisfaction and inner peace.
The Heartfulness Institute, Udaipur Center, conducted meditation sessions at several venues, including Vidya Bhawan Teacher Training College, Government Meera Girls College, RMV TT College, Sukhadia University's Yoga Center, the Senior Citizens’ Society of the Central Government, Yoga Center at Bhupalpura, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur, MPUAT Campus, and Adinath Digambar Jain Temple in Sector 4.
Before the practice, participants were educated on the benefits and significance of meditation. A video message by the global Heartfulness guide, Shri Kamlesh Daji, was also presented. Trainers, including Dr. Subodh Sharma and Mohanlal Borana, conducted sessions at Vidya Bhawan, while zone coordinator Madhu Mehta and Sister Madhu Singhvi led RMV TT College and Meera Girls College sessions. Dr. Rita Nagpal and Sister Seema guided the Senior Citizens’ Society, and Arpana Rai facilitated sessions at IIM Udaipur.
At Bhupalpura Yoga Center and MLSU Yoga Center, Dr. Rakesh Dashora introduced relaxation techniques and methods to manage intrusive thoughts during meditation. Prof. Praful Gandhi led similar practices at the Adinath Digambar Jain Temple. Yoga instructor Nareshchandra Paliwal also conducted yoga jogging and Surya Namaskar at the Jain Temple, emphasizing the significance of yoga and spirituality.
Zone coordinator Madhu Mehta remarked, “In times of global challenges, meditation serves as a powerful tool for fostering peace, unity, and compassion. By promoting inner tranquility, we contribute to building a more resilient and sustainable future for generations to come.”
This event highlighted meditation as a means of nurturing harmony and resilience in society.
