Central Government Urged to Expedite Construction of National Highway 927A

New Delhi, Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan, Shri Chunnilal Garasiya, has appealed to the central government to expedite the construction of National Highway 927A, which is to connect Swarupganj in Rajasthan to Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, Shri Garasiya highlighted the challenges faced by the people of Bawalwara in Udaipur division. He recalled that Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, had announced the construction of NH 927A from Swarupganj to Ratlam, with significant progress already achieved between Banswara and Kherwada.

However, Shri Garasiya pointed out that a 45-kilometer stretch between Kherwada and Swarupganj, specifically between Bawalwara and Garanwas, remains incomplete. This unfinished section has been the site of frequent road accidents, with approximately seven fatalities reported so far.

He emphasized that thousands of people, including government employees, schoolchildren, daily wage workers, traders, and tourists, commute on this route daily, facing constant risks due to the incomplete highway.
