Pahala Pyar

When Shantanu was ten years old, he started liking Deepa, who lived in the same building. They played together, went to school together, and attended tuition classes together.

As time passed, Shantanu began to fall in love with Deepa.

Both of them lived in flats in Shastri Nagar. Deepa's parents were engineers, while Shantanu's parents were teachers at a school.

Children are innocent; they don't differentiate. Deepa's parents didn't particularly like Shantanu's parents, but due to living in the same building, they would exchange pleasantries.

Shantanu and Deepa became eligible for marriage. Both of their parents started looking for a match for them. When Veena, Deepa's neighbor, sensed something, she went to Shantanu.

Veena said, "Shantanu, a match is being arranged for Deepa. How long will you stay silent? You need to speak up now."

Shantanu replied, "Deepa is my pahala pyar and my last love. Whatever happens, I won't let her marry anyone else."

Shantanu went to Deepa's parents and expressed his love for her, proposing marriage. Deepa's parents were shocked. They filed a complaint with the police, who arrested Shantanu. Deepa witnessed it all but remained silent.

Deepa was their only child. Since Shantanu had distanced himself, Deepa fell ill. Her parents took her to the hospital, where her condition worsened day by day.

One day, Deepa's mother, Kaveri, asked her, "Deepa, I swear on you, if there's anything in your heart, tell me."

Deepa replied, "Mom, Shantanu has been my friend since childhood. We grew up together. When you and dad used to return from the office late at night, Shantanu and his parents took care of me. Shantanu never left my side. Now, I don't want to leave his side either. I want to marry only Shantanu. He's my pahala pyar."

Upon hearing this, Kaveri stopped for a moment and said, "Deepa, Shantanu is the only cure for your illness. I understand now. We'll make Shantanu our son-in-law."

Kaveri continued, "Mayank, I spoke to Deepa, and I understood her feelings. She loves Shantanu. Now, neither you nor I should interfere between them. Our daughter's first love is Shantanu. We have to make him our son-in-law."

Mayank replied, "Kaveri, for our daughter Deepa, I'm ready to accept Shantanu as my son-in-law."

Meanwhile, Shantanu learned about everything. He met Deepa.

Shantanu said to Deepa, "You're my pahala pyar and my last love."

They embraced each other, promising to stay together forever.
