CSR Workshop Organized under ‘Vande Ganga Water Conservation Jan Abhiyan’

 

Jaisalmer, A one-day CSR workshop was organized on Saturday at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Collector Pratap Singh as part of the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Jan Abhiyan and Karmabhoomi Se Matribhumi Abhiyan. The workshop was jointly organized by the District Administration, District Industries & Commerce Center, and the Watershed Development & Soil Conservation Department.

Chief Executive Officer Rashmi Rani urged all relevant departments, institutions, and business representatives to actively participate in the State Government’s ongoing Water Conservation Campaign. She emphasized that water conservation is not only a present necessity but also a crucial requirement for the future generations of water-scarce districts like Jaisalmer. During the workshop, representatives of various departments and institutions shared details and suggestions related to water conservation activities, innovations, and ongoing developmental works.

CEO Rashmi Rani stated that the true impact of the Vande Ganga Abhiyan would only be realized when it transforms into a people’s movement through collective participation. With the approaching monsoon, she appealed to all departments and representatives to actively engage in this campaign and also support related initiatives like Hariyalo Rajasthan and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam by planting more trees.

Santosh Kumari, General Manager of the District Industries and Commerce Center, gave a detailed overview of the campaign’s framework and objectives, highlighting ongoing conservation activities and their outcomes.

Kaushal Paliwal, Superintendent Engineer of the Watershed Development and Soil Conservation Department, provided insights into the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan 2.0 (Phase II) and shared details of proposed developmental works under CSR funding.

Dr. Narayan Das Inkhiya, the nodal officer for the Karmabhoomi Se Matribhumi initiative, outlined the core purpose of the campaign and the workshop – to ensure the construction of groundwater recharge and water conservation structures with the support of donors and CSR partners. He appealed to CSR representatives to support the construction of recharge shafts and similar projects.

KC Meena, Superintendent Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department, gave a detailed presentation on Water Audit and the importance of efficient water usage.

CSR representatives shared their ongoing and proposed projects under Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan 2.0 and the Karmabhoomi Se Matribhumi campaign, reaffirming their commitment to expand work in alignment with the state’s vision for sustainable water conservation.
