Udaipur, An exceptional milestone has been achieved in the field of Ayurvedic healthcare through the Suvarnaprashan Maha Abhiyan led by senior Ayurvedic medical officer Dr. Shobhalal Audichya. More than 4 lakh children have benefitted so far from this noble campaign, which has been running uninterrupted for the past 10 years. Now, every Sunday, free Suvarnaprashan is administered at Sindhi Bazaar Dispensary, Udaipur.
Suvarnaprashan is an ancient and well-established Ayurvedic method that helps enhance children's immunity, intellect, memory, and mental development. This formulation, made with Swarna Bhasma (gold ash), ghee, honey, and special herbs, when introduced in early childhood, is believed to ensure a healthy, sharp, and disease-resistant life.
Dr. Audichya has extended this initiative not only to urban areas but also to tribal zones, rural regions, schools, and settlements, conducting hundreds of outreach camps to popularize this Ayurvedic tradition.
In Dr. Audichya’s words:
“If we envision a healthy and self-reliant future for our nation, then building a child’s immunity from the beginning is crucial — and Suvarnaprashan is a powerful tool for this.”
The initiative has garnered widespread support from voluntary organizations, teachers, doctors, and parents, who are actively participating in the movement.
