In Bhagalpur, the body of Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey was found. Her body was hanging from the ceiling fan using a saree in flat number 104 of Divya Dham Apartment in the Adamapur area. After the incident, there was chaos in the area. People from nearby gathered around. With the help of local residents, the family removed the body from the noose and admitted it to a local hospital. However, the doctors declared her dead. The family immediately informed the police about the incident. Meanwhile, as soon as the information was received, the police from Jogasar Thana reached the spot and began investigation. The police called the forensic team for investigation. The team arrived and collected all the evidence. When her mobile phone was checked, it was found that Amrita had posted a status on her WhatsApp at around 10:30 am. It read, "Why was her life like a boat, we sank the boat and made her journey easy."

She had come to attend the wedding of her elder sister Veena Pandey on April 12. After the wedding on April 18, she stayed in Bhagalpur. However, her husband returned to Mumbai. Amrita woke up late on Saturday. Everything seemed normal. She also posted statuses on social media. After that, her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Relatives say she was in depression. She was undergoing treatment. She was quite upset. Fed up, she committed suicide. Family members said she had come to Bhagalpur for her sister's wedding on April 22 without her husband.
