Field Club Cricket Carnival Season 4 Begins

Udaipur, The much-awaited Season 4 of the Field Club Cricket Carnival 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at the city's prestigious Field Club. The seven-day cricket extravaganza is witnessing participation from 32 teams, each comprising seven players, making a total of 256 cricketers taking part in this high-energy event.

Club Secretary Umesh Manwani and Executive Member Amit Kothari informed that each match in the tournament is of six overs, ensuring fast-paced and thrilling encounters. The carnival features players of different age groups and backgrounds, adding diversity and excitement to the event.

Ajay Singh Shaktawat and Vivek Jain, conveners of the event, stated that several reputed brands and institutions have come forward to support and sponsor the tournament, making it a grand affair. The key sponsors include Wonder Cement, Radisson Kumbhalgarh, Mana Hotel, Terex Pump, Vualia Resort, Marriott Hotel, Raghu Mahal, RR Dental, Elro Club, Lily Court, and Seasons Park.

Vice President Bhupendra Shrimali and Joint Secretary Pankaj Kaneria added that the carnival is not just a sporting event but also a platform for entertainment and community engagement. A massive crowd gathered on the first day, giving a glimpse of the event’s popularity. More exciting matches are expected in the coming days.

Opening Day Match Highlights

Under-40 Category:
In the first match of the under-40 age group, Striking 7 defeated Terminator by 13 runs. Batting first, Striking 7 scored 109 runs for 3 wickets in 6 overs. Dharya Chaudhary remained unbeaten on 41 runs, while Shreyansh Porwal added 25 runs. In response, Terminator could manage only 96 runs. Hari Pratap scored 46 and Samant Singh Mehta contributed 31 runs. Dharya Chaudhary was declared Man of the Match for his all-round performance.

Above-40 Category:
In the above-40 match, Rosawa Titans emerged victorious over M Square by 23 runs. Batting first, Rosawa Titans posted 82 runs for 1 wicket in 6 overs. Atul Chandalya played a superb knock of 55 runs while Abhishek Kothari supported with 21 runs. Chasing the target, M Square managed just 59 runs for 5 wickets. Naveen Jain top-scored with 35 runs. Ajay Mogra took 3 wickets and Rajeev Yadav claimed 2 wickets. Atul Chandalya was named Man of the Match.

Women’s Matches:

In the first women's match, Pacemakers defeated Jhansi Ki Rani by 16 runs. Batting first, Pacemakers scored 54 runs in 6 overs with Naysa Kumawat contributing 16 and Sameena Tobwala 13 runs. Neelam Gupta took one wicket. In reply, Jhansi Ki Rani scored only 38 runs, with Vishi scoring 14 and Neelam Gupta adding 10 runs. For her all-round performance, Neelam Gupta was awarded Woman of the Match.

In the second women’s match, Avis Rockstar edged out Pacemaker 303 by 4 runs. Batting first, Avis Rockstar made 48 runs, thanks to an unbeaten 29 by Vanita Singhi. In response, Pacemaker 303 could only score 44 runs, with Dakshayani Rao scoring 13. Vanita Singhi was declared Woman of the Match.

The Field Club Cricket Carnival promises an exciting week ahead, filled with sportsmanship, community spirit, and entertainment for the city of Udaipur.
