Observance of World Kidney Day: Organizing 'Run for Kidney' Event

Udaipur, In a joint effort by Pacific Medical College & Hospital, Tirupati College of Nursing, and Pacific College of Physiotherapy, a program titled 'Run for Kidney' and 'Kidney Health Awareness Program' is scheduled to be organized today, March 14, 2024, to raise awareness among the general public on the occasion of World Kidney Day.

Dr. Mohit Nareti, the program coordinator, mentioned that the awareness program will kick off with a marathon on the theme of 'Kidney Health for All' at Fatehsagar, where citizens along with students will participate. The marathon will be flagged off by PMC Chairman Rahul Agrawal, Executive Director Aman Agrawal, Nephrologist Dr. Mohit Nareti, Urologist Dr. Hanwant Singh Rathore, and Dr. Kshitij Roka.

Dr. Nareti highlighted that World Kidney Day is observed every year to raise awareness about kidney diseases (संवेदना), with this year's theme being 'Kidney Health for All'. The aim is to emphasize the importance of maintaining healthy kidneys for everyone. He further explained that kidney disease often goes undetected in its early stages, but by staying vigilant and paying attention to symptoms, it can be diagnosed early, leading to easier treatment.
