Salvi (Weaver) Community Honors Meritorious Students in Udaipur

Udaipur: The role of youth is crucial in shaping any society. Describing youth as a vibrant force filled with energy, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas, Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnatak, Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, highlighted their potential in social and national development.

He was addressing the Salvi (Weaver) Community’s Meritorious Student Felicitation Ceremony held on Sunday at the RNT Medical College auditorium, organized by the Salvi Samaj of Sath Kheda, Udaipur.

Over 600 families and students from Kheroda Chaikhla, Medta, Girwa, Modi, and Gawadi Chaikhlas participated in the event. Students who scored high in secondary and senior secondary examinations were honored with certificates by the Chief Guest, Dr. Karnatak. Additionally, students selected for college admissions and those recently appointed in government services were also felicitated.

Dr. Karnatak emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating, “One and one make eleven — unity multiplies strength.” He inspired students to face challenges boldly, whether working in teams or individually.

Citing American businessman Alvin Toffler, he shared three pillars of success — “Learn, Unlearn, Relearn,” encouraging students to stay updated with new knowledge, read regularly, and engage in group discussions for deeper understanding. He stressed the need for wholehearted effort for holistic development.

Speakers like Raman Kumar and Ramlal Salvi urged families to ensure girls attend school regularly, so they too can achieve high positions and bring pride to the society and nation.

Community leaders including Mangilal Pachlod, Roshan Lal Pachlod, Surendra Hor, Ramesh Picholiya, Ambalal Ladoti, Mitesh Rayakwal, Tejpal, Sohan Lal Parmar, Ganesh Lal Manoti, and Vinod Solanki shared their views on social upliftment and empowerment through education.
