Annual Festival "Lahar-2024" Celebrated with Gusto

The Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University, under its purview, organized the annual festival "Lahar-2024" at the Fisheries College with great enthusiasm. The event commenced with a morning inauguration by Dr. R. A. Kaushik, Principal of the Fisheries College, Associate Professor Dr. M. L. Ojha, and Assistant Professor Dr. Suman Takkar, followed by various cultural competitions throughout the day.


 

In the Rangoli competition, Ms. Kavya showcased her artistic talent, while Ms. Khushi Rawat excelled in the poster competition. Mr. Sourabh Nogiya mesmerized everyone with his solo singing performance, and Ms. Riya Vaishnav enthralled the audience with her solo dance. The duet singing category was won by Keshav and Sourabh, while the duet dance competition was dominated by Sourabh and Sunita. The group dance performance by Kulisha and her team secured the first position.


In the evening, the cultural program "Lahar-2024" was organized, presided over by Dr. R. A. Kaushik, Principal of the college. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnatak, distinguished guest Dr. B. D. Kumawat from Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University, and the Secretary of the university were present. Dr. R. A. Kaushik welcomed all the guests and presented the annual report on the college's activities.

Dr. B. D. Kumawat praised the efforts of the students and appreciated the cultural presentations. Chief Guest Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnatak urged the students to explore the vast opportunities in the field of fisheries and contribute to the advancement of the sector, thereby bringing glory to the college and university.

During the program, Dr. M. K. Mahla, Dean of Student Welfare, and former Principals Dr. Vimal Sharma, Dr. B. K. Sharma, Dr. A. K. Gupta, Dr. H. K. Vardia, Mr. Som Shekhar Vyas, Mr. V. P. Sharma, and other retired and serving officials and employees of the college were felicitated.

The event also witnessed vibrant cultural presentations by the college students, and Dr. M. L. Ojha, the sports in-charge of the college, felicitated the students who participated in various academic, cultural, and sports competitions throughout the year.

The successful execution of the program was credited to Ms. Khushi Rawat and Mr. Abhishek Singodia, while Dr. Suman Takkar expressed gratitude to all.
