Udaipur, June 3: As part of the Mahesh Navami Mahotsav 2025, a grand devotional evening titled Ek Shaam Prabhu Mahesh Ke Naam was held on Tuesday night at the R.M.V. School premises, organized by Nagar Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan, Udaipur.
Event coordinator Vipul Chechani informed that the devotional night saw an overwhelming outpouring of devotion, with bhajans flowing deep into the night. The atmosphere turned electric as men, women, and youth danced to the tunes of Lord Mahadev’s praises, and slogans of “Har Har Mahadev” reverberated in the air.
Performing artists like Nirmala-Gopal Kabra, Rekha-Ramesh Asawa, Premlata-Dileep Moondra, Vimla-Ashok Baheti, Jatan-Narayan Asawa, and Pushpa-Ladulal Moondra were warmly welcomed. According to coordinator Amit Mantri, the highlight of the evening was a breathtaking tableau of Balaji Hanuman presented by Delhi-based Lokesh Toofani, which deeply moved the audience. Another awe-inspiring attraction was the Bhasma Aarti of Mahadev, transforming the entire space into a divine setting filled with spiritual vibrations.
The musical proceedings began with bhajan singers Sanju-Shivam Sharma from Mandsaur initiating the event with Ganesh Vandana followed by the energetic Balaji bhajan "Kirtan Ki Hai Raat...". Local singer Sunanda Chaubisa enchanted listeners with bhajans like “Baba Teri Mor Chhadi Ko Jodo Chahiye”, while Param Yaduvanshi from Ayodhya thrilled the crowd with "Maine Mohan Ko Bulaya, Woh Aata Hi Hoga...".
The stage arrangements were supported by JSS Group, Udaipur, and the ambiance was further enriched by the musical accompaniment of Jayesh Musical Group, Neemuch.
Grand Procession Today, Morning Shivabhishek Ceremony
On Wednesday, Mahesh Navami celebrations will begin with Maha Shivabhishek at 8:00 AM at Maheshwari Bhawan, Srinath Marg, conducted by Radheshyam Toshniwal family and Suresh Somani family. At 9:00 AM, the 29th Blood Donation Camp will be held at Mahesh Seva Sansthan, Bhuwana, in collaboration with Late Shri Krishnakumar Kabra Memorial Trust, Udaipur.
The grand procession will begin at 5:00 PM, with men dressed in white and women in saffron attire or choondar. The procession will feature multiple devotional tableaux and follow a route from RMV premises through Asthal Mandir Chauraha, Marshal Chauraha, Lakhara Chowk, Dhanmandi, Delhi Gate, Bapu Bazaar, Surajpole, and return to RMV, where a Maha Aarti will be performed by organization members and community leaders.
Dheeraj Dhuppad, Hitesh Jhanwar, Ayush Moondra, Kartik Moondra, and Ashish Ajmera have been entrusted with coordinating the procession.
A Mahaprasadi will be organized after the Maha Aarti. Organizers have also appealed to the community to avoid food wastage and take only as much prasad as needed, ensuring none is discarded.
