Udaipur, "Without compassion, personality cannot evolve. It is emotion that inspires action," said Narayan Seva Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal on the first day of the three-day event "Apno Se Apni Baat". Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that individuals with strong willpower and empathy earn true respect in society and are capable of making the impossible, possible.
The program was attended by specially-abled individuals and their families from across India who had come for free surgeries related to congenital disabilities and polio, as well as fittings of artificial limbs. Agarwal emphasized the spiritual and practical importance of serving the underprivileged, stating, “Helping the distressed not only brings them relief but also clears obstacles in the lives of those who serve. That is why our scriptures place great importance on charity. Everyone should ideally dedicate ten percent of their income towards serving the needy. For those who make service a natural part of life, climbing the ladder of success becomes effortless.”
Among the participants was Rohit Yadav from Bihar, who shared how he had fallen into depression after losing a leg in a road accident. "After receiving an artificial leg here, I feel rejuvenated and hopeful of becoming my family's economic support again," he said, adding that he found strength in remembering God during his difficult times.
Surendra Meena from Salumber recalled losing a hand to an electric shock two years ago. “Despite the suffering, I never lost confidence. One must never fall into despair, because despair is akin to death,” he shared. Others like Nirmal Kumar from Jharkhand, S. Bir Singh and Dharmendra from Karauli, and Akhil Verma from Bharatpur also shared their journeys.
In closing, Prashant Agarwal encouraged everyone to remember that nothing is impossible, no matter how difficult the circumstances may be.
